In Partnership With
You are required to complete an internship as part of your graduation requirements from Ohio University’s Health Services Administration major, and multiple internships are encouraged. So why not take the opportunity to explore the world as you build your experience and your resume?
Connect-123 has placed thousands of students into challenging, career-building internships around the world. As an approved Ohio University Preferred Custom Program Provider, Connect-123 is excited to offer HSA internships in Cape Town, Dublin, and Sydney.
Internships are designed to meet OU HSA internship requirements, including the number of hours.
Complete the form above to start the process and let us know if there’s a specific destination you’re interested in. We'll set up a time to speak with you to learn more about your background and interests so that we can create a program that's customized for YOU.
Our on-the-ground team will discuss your application with local organizations to find the best-fit opportunities for you. You never have to commit to anything until we find you something you love, and your deposit is 100% refundable if we don’t find you anything in your top 2 areas of interest.
We’ll send you all the pre-trip information you'll need, meet you at the airport and provide a comprehensive on-site orientation. From weekly events, to career guidance and 24/7 emergency support, we'll be there throughout your trip to ensure you're getting the most out of your experience -- while having the time of your life!
Are these internships paid?
Due to immigration and tax rules, these international internships are unpaid. Instead, we focus our efforts on getting you the most meaningful and challenging work that will fuel your career. Our alumni often report life-changing experiences that help them explore career choices, build their resumes and have extraordinary talking points during job interviews. When customizing a program for you, we’ll ensure that it’s aligned with your goals and interests and that you’ll receive tangible value.
How can I see what specific internships are available?
We have an ever-changing database of available internships, and are even able to tap our network to find new opportunities based on your specific interests and background. After you pay the $350/€350 deposit, our placement team will reach out to organizations on your behalf in order to find an opportunity. Our on-the-ground team will discuss your application with local organizations to find the best-fit opportunities for you. You never have to commit until we find something you love, and your deposit is 100% refundable if you don’t receive an offer in your first or second choice field.
Do your internships fulfill the requirements for HLTH 4910?
Yes. The HLTH 4910 internship is to be completed during your senior year (or the summer preceding it), and is a 400-hour “capstone” experience for your major. We will help you find a placement that matches your professional interests. You will register for HLTH 4910 and will receive 6 credits for completing the internship. As with all HLTH 4910 internships, you will be asked to keep a weekly activity log and get a signature from your preceptor at the end of the internship. If you have any questions about this, feel free to ask us, or to ask Cory Cronin at firstname.lastname@example.org.
I’m not a senior; can you still find me an internship?
Absolutely. We can place any HSA student looking for a challenging, career-related internship. In addition, for any internship not taken as part of HLTH 4910, you can elect to take an online course via Connect-123’s University of Record partner, UC Irvine, and receive 3 graded transfer credits.
When are internships available?
Internships are customized not only to your interests and background, but also to your schedule. While summer is a popular time for internships, we can arrange a placement for you year-round.
How can I confirm Connect-123’s reputation?
We have been placing students into international internships since 2006, and have placed over 3,000 students. Please check out the reviews on our website. In addition to Ohio University, university partners include Michigan State University, University of Colorado, Drexel University, Bentley University, Washington & Lee, and King’s College.
What is the program fee?
The 2019 program fee is $2,750 (€2,750 for Barcelona and Dublin), excluding housing. The program fee is the same for any duration and in addition to the internship placement includes arranging secure accommodation based on your budget and preferences; meeting you at the airport; a complete country information pack to help you prepare for your trip; a comprehensive orientation on arrival; access to Connect-123’s regular social and cultural events; discounts on tourist activities; substantial local support, from providing logistical assistance to career and personal mentoring to hands-on help in case of an emergency.
