My time in Dublin was incredible! The people were warm and welcoming, always open to conversation. I loved my internship experience as well—the coworkers were amazing, and the overall environment was fantastic. Exploring Dublin and its surrounding cities was such a highlight, from sightseeing with friends to discovering new spots every weekend. Thank you Connect-123!

I had an amazing time interning abroad in Buenos Aires, Argentina, coordinated by Connect-123. I was able to work with an NGO focused on human rights issues, which positively impacted my work experience. I have been taught valuable skills and knowledge that I will carry for the rest of my career! I also had the best experience in and outside my internship. On days off, I got to enjoy the Argentine culture and explore different locations. I have to give a special thanks to Connect-123 and Brenda for helping me throughout my time in Argentina; it was an unforgettable summer!

My internship was one of those rare experiences where I walked away feeling like I grew both professionally and personally. I learned how to take on real projects, navigate challenges, and see how the skills I’ve been studying actually come to life in a work setting. There were plenty of moments where I felt stretched, but that’s exactly what made the experience so valuable; I left with new confidence and clarity about where I want to head next. And of course, I have to give a little shout-out to Xena Pulliam from Connect-123. She played a big role in helping me get matched to the right place and was always supportive throughout the process. She made sure I didn’t just land “an internship,” but the right internship, one that fit me well and pushed me in all the right ways. All in all, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I came in as an intern eager to learn, and I left feeling like I actually made an impact. Plus, I have a few funny stories and memories along the way that I know I’ll be telling for a long time. Thank you for the opportunity to grow, and I’ll make sure I’ll nurture it into something special.

During my internship in Dublin through the Connect-123 program, I gained valuable hands-on experience in financial analysis and legal project support. Before joining, I brought prior finance knowledge, which I communicated early on; as a result, I was entrusted with complex, finance-focused tasks during my first few weeks. I reconstructed comprehensive 3-statement financial models, assessed year-end financials for new potential trades, and provided detailed insights to support decision-making. One aspect that surprised me the most was how open-minded and relaxed the workplace culture was. I could step away from my desk to grab a snack at Tesco without needing permission, and there was even a comfortable lounge where employees could take breaks freely. From my experience and opinion, I believe that my company prioritized the employees/interns physical and mental health more than anything. I am truly grateful to Connect-123 for providing such an incredible internship opportunity. Not only did I gain practical experience and exposure to workplace culture, but I also had the chance to work alongside amazing coworkers I would love to collaborate with again in the future. Overall, it was a 10/10 experience, and I would highly recommend anyone to give it a shot!

My engineering research internship in Dublin was such a great experience. I worked alongside a super supportive and caring professor who really invested in my education into the research and academic side of engineering. I got to dive deep into a real world research problem of investigating thermal runaway in electric vehicles and lithium ion batteries. In addition to the great professional experience I got from my internship in Dublin, I also made amazing friends that I hope turn into friends for life. It was so fun to meet so many new people from all over the United States and share these memories with them.

Connect-123 really helped me to have the best experience possible for my international internship. I had a minor health issue while abroad a couple times and Connect-123 was so amazing about making sure I was comfortable in my place of living as well as being amazing with the actual hospital selection and just being present if I needed them. The entire team at Connect-123 was awesome and willing to help with absolutely anything I might've needed. I had a truly amazing experience and that is all because of this company.

I have had an amazing time during the virtual internship and have learned a lot of new technical and soft skills. I thought doing an internship virtually would be difficult because of the lack of in-person contact, but the process was smooth, and I got into the rhythm of things very quickly. Finding an internship as an international student is very tough, especially when you don’t really have experience related to your field, but Connect-123 made it possible for me to learn and gain experience.
